School bus service is maintained to provide transportation to and from school for all eligible students. It is our aim to provide efficient service and to insure the safety of all passengers. Your bus driver is responsible for the welfare of all passengers on the bus. All rules must be followed at all times so that the driver can concentrate on the driving the bus safely.
RIDING THE BUS IS A PRIVILEGE, THEREFORE, THE FOLLOWING RULES MUST BE OBSERVED IN REGARD TO BUS TRANSPORTATION.
School Bus Rules
- The bus driver shall be in full charge of the bus at all times and each driver is required to report any infractions to the building principal.
- All students must be at their assigned bus stop and visible to the bus driver. Buses will not wait for students at the stop.
- Please allow approximately 10 minutes before the designated pick up time for the bus to arrive.
- No smoking shall be allowed on or around any bus at any time including vapors, e-cigarettes, etc.
- No eating or drinking shall be allowed on the bus. All buses must be kept clean with no paper, rubbish, food, etc., left to liter the bus.
- All students must be seated while on the bus.
- Throwing objects in or out of the bus while stopped or moving is strictly forbidden and would give cause for suspension.
- Never walk behind the bus.
- The driver shall not permit pushing, shoving, fights or other disruptive behavior and shall report all incidents.
- No one shall be permitted to open or play with or abuse an exit door. The door may only be opened in the event of an emergency.
- No profanity or abusive language may be permitted.
- No alcoholic beverages, illegal drugs, narcotics, amphetamines, barbiturates, marijuana or other foreign substances shall be permitted on the bus.
- Parents are not permitted to enter the bus.
- If seats are assigned, students must sit in their assigned seats.
- Students may not be allowed to leave the bus, once they have entered, except at their regular bus stop. Al students must ride their assigned bus.
- Students must board and disembark at their assigned bus stop or be subject to disciplinary action.
- Students are not allowed to video or take pictures of other students on the bus.
ANY VIOLATION OF THESE RULES CAN RESULT IN DISCIPLINARY ACTION
Late buses are provided for students that play sports and are involved in school activities. There are two buses to cover the entire district, therefore; the buses adhere to a modified bus stops and not the student everyday bus stop.
**Any changes in pick up and drop off must be done through your student’s Guidance Office.
