167 Cape May County Students Advance to State Teen Arts Festival Cape May Court House, NJ — A total of 167 Cape May County students have been selected to advance to the New Jersey State Teen Arts Festival, June 1st -3 rd, following their participation in the 2026 Cumberland and Cape May County Teen Arts Festival held in Millville on Wednesday, April 22, 2026.
The festival brought together more than 800 students from across the region for a full day of artistic expression, learning, and collaboration. Representing eight Cape May County schools - Ocean City High School, Cape May County Technical High School, Middle Township High School, Wildwood High School, Lower Cape May Regional High School, Middle Township Middle School, Wildwood Middle School, and Avalon Middle School - students engaged in workshops, live performances, and adjudicated presentations.
Participants showcased their talents across multiple disciplines, including visual art, music, theater, creative writing, and filmmaking. County Teen Arts Festivals serve as the exclusive pathway for students to earn eligibility for recognition at the state level.
Local dignitaries were also in attendance, observing student performances and celebrating the creativity and accomplishments of participants from across the region.
“The Teen Arts Festival continues to be an incredible opportunity for our young people to express themselves, develop their talents, and connect with professional artists,” said Cape May County Commissioner Director Leonard C. Desiderio. “We are proud to support a program that not only celebrates creativity but also opens doors for students to be recognized at the state level.”Funding for the Teen Arts Festival is provided by the Cape May County Board of County Commissioners and the New Jersey State Council on the Arts.
