Accounting I is a full year course designed for students who desire an understanding of financial transactions that occur in a sole proprietorship service business and how they are processed with the application of double-entry accounting. It is designed for students who would like a job in accounting or other business fields and students who would like to own their own business. You will learn the steps of the accounting cycle, learn the purpose of financial statements in determining profit or loss, and understand opening, maintaining, and reconciling a checking account. You will be using accounting software programs as well as learning how to do it manually.

Program Objectives:
Demonstrate an understanding of terminology related to accounting careers and understand the career opportunities available.
Demonstrate an understanding of basic terminology, concepts, and procedures for a sole proprietorship which includes completing the accounting cycle.
Help students understand the relationship between the manual system of accounting and a computerized system.
Assessments:
Students will be assessed at the end of each chapter, after completing a mini practice set, on your class work and participation and at the end of the semester.
Make-up work:
Upon returning from an excused absence, the student is to arrange with the teacher to make up any work missed. All concepts and demo problems are available online (SEE BELOW). After a week late the assignment is a zero. A fair and reasonable amount of time will be made to accommodate students with lengthy absences.

3. Type in the Drive shown: \\lcmr-data\hs courses (then click finish)
4. Open document you want to save and go to (save as)
5. Click computer as if you were saving to your student network but find the high school courses network
6. Find the appropriate folder or (folders) for the class (example: Intro to Business > Budget Challenge 2015 Fall)
7. Save as your assignment title and your last name
